To celebrate a collection like Hibiscus Lane and our Spell x Pared Eyewear collaboration, you really need to pull out all the stops to make it something to remember, and let’s just say that we think we’ve pulled it off.
What better way to celebrate and bring back those nostalgic memories of Australia in the 80s, than to bring Spelly and some of her closest friends together for an afternoon of cocktails, canapés, and a good old time playing dress ups. The food and drinks were flowing, the cliche 80s playlist was up nice and loud, and the bright colours and bold prints were on rotation as the girls styled their favourite Hibiscus Lane pieces with their Spell x Pared sunnies.
We were incredibly lucky to host Spelly and her friends at the recently finished Portum House in Byron Bay. The incredible food spread was beyond anything we could have expected and brought to life by the amazing sister duo, Maya & Chelsea – it literally looked like a table spread from Women’s Weekly magazine from the 80s (it also tasted as good as it looked!). Cocktail mixers were provided by Mr. Consistent (we ran out of margarita mixers way too fast – a testament to how tasty it is) and the impressive champagne tower and bar was provided by Hampton Event Hire. Florals by the amazing team at Nikau.
