We met Elsa three years ago in the Summer in Byron, right before we released Hotel Paradiso.
We were meant to be meeting about fashion, but instead we ended up chatting about Byron, travelling, kids, and not wearing shoes! She walked out barefoot and left her shoes behind (not kidding!!!).
It was the beginning of a beautiful friendship between us, and we just adore her and have always loved how she styles our clothes so eclectically with the pieces she finds on her travels.
When the opportunity came for our team to meet Elsa in Spain, we were thrilled to have her show us her fave haunts in the amazing city of Madrid, Spain.
We sat with Elsa to share her must-dos if visiting Madrid:
Tell us your top three favourite places to get a beautiful meal or cocktail:
1862 Dry Bar
El Museo Chicote
Del Diego Cocktail Bar
Best spot if you have never been to Madrid?
La Plaza Mayor
Where is your best memory in Madrid
Sundays spent in El Retiro when I was kid
What is the most beautiful monument?
Museo Del Prado or La Cibeles
Where is your favourite places to shop?
The street of Serrano and Fuencarral have great shops
Where to do you go to relax in Madrid?
Tacha in la Castellana is my favourite spot for facials and massages, it has the best beauty treatments.
The best “insta worthy” place to go?
The Royal Palace
And finally, what is a typical day in Madrid like for you?
I start with the gym in the morning. Then I walk around Old Madrid, and to the Plaza del Sol. I have lunch and tapas in Plaza Mayor. Next I go to Retiro to walk around and read a book, or I go to the Thyssen museum. I see my friends – sometimes we go see a play in the late afternoon. All finished with a late dinner and drinks.
